Project Description
DeMaria completed the Gratiot Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Building Expansion at the DTE Energy facility in Breckenridge, MI. Crews utilize the facility for the maintenance of DTE windmills in the area. The expansion is intended to support the increase in the number of DTE windmills being maintained.
The building addition features new office space and both bathroom and locker room facilities for crews and support staff. An expanded 5,000 square feet of shop area and a 2,400 square foot mezzanine for new mechanical equipment were also included in the addition.
The Gratiot O&M facility underwent several exterior improvements, as well. These improvements include expanded parking, a covered carport for maintenance vehicles, and laydown areas for the servicing of windmills. In addition, the facility gained a habitat area for wildflower and native plantings, new perimeter fencing, and enhanced security.
