Project Details

DeMaria’s construction experience with the water and wastewater sector began in the early 1980s and continues today. With DWSD, DeMaria has over $100M awarded / successfully completed projects. The company’s first decade providing GC services has enabled DeMaria to fine tune its cost budgeting and project management services. This has led to the award of several large and complex projects including:

PC-749 Skilled Trades – DeMaria was hired by DWSD to complete major and minor skilled trades maintenance projects, as well as specialized subcontracted maintenance services on an as need basis.  This contract covered all DWSD facilities in 124 cities of SE Michigan, $28,000,000

DWSD DWP-2001/PC-750 – An extensive renovation of the Sludge Dewatering Complex II at the Jefferson Waste Treatment Plant, including the removal of 16 outdated belt filter presses, installation of 8 new centrifuge processing machines, and new mechanical support equipment, $17,000,000

PC-758 Equipment Purchase and Install – Contract consisted of purchasing parts and equipment as well as skilled trade maintenance implementation at the Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant, $35,397,000

PC-759 Skilled Trades Program – DeMaria performed maintenance and repair services for all DWSD water facilities, covering the five water treatment plants and all pumping facilities serving 124 cities within Southeast Michigan.  The scope of work included self-performed trades and material / equipment procurement services and subcontracts, $25,836,000
