DeMaria teamed with A3C architects in a design/build approach to renovate the Emergency Department at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Work included the addition of 17 new exam rooms within three separate pods, each supported by a staff station, consultation room, documentation station and miscellaneous support spaces. The existing waiting room was also updated.
The project was designed, approved by regulatory agencies, and constructed in two phases within seven months.
Mechanical and electrical shut-downs were carefully scheduled to allow continued operations within the Emergency Department.
