Project Description

DeMaria recently upgraded the Central Maintenance Facility located in mid-town Detroit. All work was phased in four separate quadrants so that DDOT could remain in operation during construction.

DeMaria removed and replaced all hoists, used to elevate buses for service. This also included the removal of concrete floors surrounding the hoists and the setting of new floors. All related mechanical and electrical systems used by the hoists were also replaced. This required DeMaria to saw-cut pathways in the existing floor in order to remove and replace the systems. DeMaria also added a new rooftop exhaust system.
