Project Description

DeMaria, in a joint venture with Clark’s Construction, was hired as construction manager to build the new Heilmann Park Middle School for Detroit Public Schools. During preconstruction, major subcontractors were selected early to review and optimize the project scope. The result was a successful project completed within an aggressive 21-month schedule. The new educational facility is comprised of an education wing, administrative offices, cafeteria, competition gym, locker room, and training facility.  The building is unique in that it features a heating and cooling system powered by an Earth Energy Geothermal System.
