Project Description

Beaumont Health hired DeMaria to complete a 425,000 sq. ft. renovation at the multi-tenant First Center building in Southfield, MI. The new Beaumont owned building was purchased to consolidate their shared services employees that were working in numerous owned or leased buildings across Southeast Michigan.

The building’s renovations included an open floor plan office design including meeting rooms, shared amenity areas and collaborative spaces. Work teams had input in customizing their work areas. The building also includes a first-floor conference center for large Beaumont business meetings. Other features included a fitness center and sunshine-filled atrium which provides places for employees to connect.

The project was completed in seven phases over a 13 month aggressive schedule so Beaumont could move their employees in by departments, in the end relocating up to 2,600 employees.
