Project Description
Outdated amenities and overcrowded conditions prompted the City of Dearborn, a suburb bordering Detroit, to renovate and expand its Police Headquarters and 19th District Court Building. Ultimately, the entire site was transformed into a beautiful, 21st century law enforcement complex. The 19th District Court and judicial department were relocated to the new, secure addition. This made it easier to renovate the original building tripling the amount of detention space and adding new electronic detention cells along with a critical emergency electrical power backup system for the entire complex. The police/court building features a sizeable law library for lawyers, law enforcement and court personnel to draw upon for research and evaluation purposes. The building also features a new shooting range.
