Project Description

DeMaria teamed with A3C architects in a design/build approach to renovate the Emergency Department at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.  Work included the addition of 17 new exam rooms within three separate pods, each supported by a staff station, consultation room, documentation station and miscellaneous support spaces. The existing waiting room was also updated.

Highlights include:

The project was designed, approved by regulatory agencies, and constructed in two phases within seven months.

Mechanical and electrical shut-downs were carefully scheduled to allow continued operations within the Emergency Department.
