Now Open – Polk Penguin Conservation Center

The Polk Penguin Conservation Center, the largest penguin conservation center in the world, opened its doors to the general public on April 18^th, 2016. DeMaria, in a joint venture with Wharton-Smith, Inc, constructed the uniquely designed penguinarium, inspired by the harsh ice world of Antarctica. Completion of this project brings exciting global appeal to the Detroit Zoo.
