DeMaria celebrated the grand opening of the SimLEARN National Center at the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Friday, September 16, 2016. SimLEARN (Simulation, Learning, Education, and Research Network) is a program for simulation in healthcare. The program provides an ever-growing body of curricula and best practices that improve health care for our nation’s Veterans. In a joint venture with Archer Western, DeMaria worked as the general contractor. The new one-story SimLEARN National Center is composed of steel structure, precast, and metal panels and is located on the northwest side of the medical campus. The project was designed to allow for a future vertical expansion of four floors and also includes surface parking, site work, and landscaping.
DeMaria is happy to be part of the team creating a space for education and advancement in healthcare for Veterans.
