DeMaria Named as One of Crain’s 2020 Cool Places to Work

We are thrilled to announce that DeMaria, a CM/DB/GC construction contractor with offices in Detroit and Novi, MI and Tampa, FL, has been selected as one of Crain’s 2020 Cool Places to Work. To be chosen as a recipient of this award, our team participated in an evaluation of our benefits and policies, as well as a survey about workplace culture, company leadership and other aspects of work. This information was collected and analyzed by Best Companies Group, an independent research firm. The winners are then recognized in Crain’s Detroit Business.

So what makes us a cool place to work? We are a second generation, family-owned business with a genuinely friendly, open door workplace culture. Our leadership team encourages communication throughout the company with staff at every level. In addition, our company has many employees who have other family members working for DeMaria. This focus on communication and relationship building keeps everyone dedicated to our mission and core values of having a positive attitude and being relationship focused, committed to quality and results driven.

  • DeMaria in Action (DIA), our charity program where employees are given paid time off (PTO) to participate in monthly charitable events
  • Our Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) program where employees can submit ideas on how to improve the company and then receive points for implemented ideas, which can be used toward gift cards or company vouchers
