DeMaria has been hired by CBRE to complete the landlord work for a new Applebee’s/IHOP restaurant in the Millender Center in downtown Detroit. The new restaurant will take the place of the existing Courtyard restaurant, which is adjacent to the Courtyard Marriott lobby on the ground floor.
The scope of work includes: demolition of existing furnishings and portions of existing interior walls; selective demolition of the existing second floor slab and metal deck; installation of an aluminum panel exterior wall system to cover the existing stairwells; acoustic ceiling system replacement; preparation of the floor and walls for new finishes; fire suppression system modifications; modifications to the existing plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems; installation of exterior LED lighting and electricity to the exterior signage.
