Graduate & Faculty Housing, Wayne State University The 11-story high-rise, located on the former site of the Vernor's soda pop plant, is situated along Detroit's Woodward Avenue. A 300-unit apartment complex, the facility houses graduate students and faculty from Wayne State University, a public radio station, an instructional computer lab and child daycare center. The 350,000 sf building is constructed of structural steel with a precast curtain wall. To fulfill the university's leasing objective, a fast-track, phased completion schedule was established to ensure the readiness of the building for the fall semester. |
