Center for Simulation, Education, and Research, Henry Ford Hospital
DeMaria was hired to transform an existing medical record space into a state-of-the-art Simulation, Education, and Research Center. The center offers procedural simulation technologies using computerized mannequins and other mechanical devices.
The center houses fully-equipped replicas of an intensive care unit, emergency room, patient rooms, and two operating rooms -- one devoted to advancing skills on the surgical robot. DeMaria reworked the existing utilities to accommodate this new equipment.
DeMaria constructed several offices, classrooms, and student training areas. Each room is designed to enable physicians, nurses, and various health care professionals to enhance critical team skills in these environments. |
