Emergency Room Renovations at the Main Campus, Henry Ford Health System
ER renovations can be complicated to perform. They require
phasing and contingency planning for when unexpected emergencies
in the ER demand contractors leave the surrounding site. Dust and
debris must be isolated from patients. The daily routine of doctors,
nurses and paramedics must not be severely disrupted.
For these reasons, Henry Ford Health System hired DeMaria to renovate their Emergency Room at their main campus in Detroit. Originally a five-phase project, DeMaria reworked and implemented a three-phase plan that cut two months off of the original schedule, minimized disruptions to Hospital staff, safeguarded patients and protected sensitive medical equipment in the renovated areas. |
